Measuring What Matters

Our impact goes beyond the number of people we reach. We focus on whether participants leave our programs with a stronger understanding of kidney health and prevention.

By combining educational reach with measurable learning outcomes, we aim to understand what works, identify where knowledge gaps remain, and continuously strengthen our programs.

Before the Program

Participants complete a brief educational assessment to measure their baseline understanding of kidney function, chronic kidney disease, risk factors, prevention, and early awareness.

Average Relative Increase in Kidney Health Knowledge

The 31% figure represents the average relative increase in participant scores from pre- to post-program educational assessments.

Measuring Learning Outcomes

Reaching participants is only part of our mission. We also evaluate whether our educational programs improve participants’ understanding of kidney health.

After the Program

Participants complete a post-program assessment covering the same core learning areas, allowing us to evaluate changes in kidney health knowledge.

How We Measure Learning

Participants complete educational assessments before and after the program covering core kidney health concepts. Pre-program scores establish baseline knowledge, while post-program scores measure changes following the educational program. The reported 31% represents the average relative increase in participant assessment scores from pre- to post-program testing. Results help identify knowledge gaps and inform improvements to future programming.

Note: These assessments measure changes in kidney health knowledge and are not designed to measure clinical or health outcomes.
